Default Racetronix ??

Hello. I am 2nd owner of 2000 Z28. The previous upgraded to a Racetronix 255lph fuel pump with upgraded wiring kit, and I should add, did a nice job of creating the “trap door”. Anyways, I’m looking at replacing the fuel pressure regulator. The new one and the old one is slightly different and hubby thinks I have the wrong replacement part. I think the Racetronix pump is designed that it meshes with whatever the factory part is. Which in my case, I picked up the Delphi FP10021, and I think the old one is original.

So, I’m just looking for some clarification on this, in relation to that upgraded fuel pump. I did include a photo. New one is above the old one.

Thanks!!

Top one looks like the regulator on the fuel rail of early trucks. Pull the two o-rings and the screen off and see if they are the same. I only removed my car one and didn't study it, but just changed a truck on so I happen to know what i looks like from that.

Thanks for the reply.

We noticed that the screen and o-ring from the old one, was still in it's place on the fuel pump assembly. So after pulling those two out, it was good to go with the new part. But yeah, that one end looks a lot like the damper thing on the fuel rail.
