Fuel System Pressure; Am I Overthinking This?
Quick rundown of the relevant components:
4.8L with VS Racing 7875 turbo at ~15psi (93 octane Gasoline)
Racetronix 340lph pump w/ hotwire kit.
Stock fuel lines, filter, and fuel rail
Deka 80lb/hr Injectors
Stock regulator removed and an adjustable boost referenced FPR run off the fuel rail service port.
Correct me if I am wrong here, but as I understand how this works, if I set my base pressure at 44psi then the regulator should have me at about 59psi of fuel pressure when the turbo reaches 15psi of boost pressure. Based on this graph I pulled from Racetronix, the 340 pump is flowing about 290lph at 59psi.
If I use the following formula, "Optimal LPH = (Max. HP x BSFC) / 1.585", then I can expect this pump to support up to 766hp with a .6 BSFC. Does this sound accurate?
