Default LS 3 factory intake return line

Help: built LS3 Pace Performance 525 HP engine and swapping it and a 6L80E into a 91 Camaro. I purchased the factory LS3 intake No return port on the rails ( I guess since most run a filter/regulator combo close to the tank). I am placing an automotive FPR near the rails to make sure pressure is always constant. Can I tap and put a 6an fitting at the end of one of the rails to make the connection to the FPR?
Open to all suggestions
Thanks to all
Roy

Just install regulater before the rails. Tie return line into the regulater. Feed from tank on one side and opposite side out to the fuel rail fitting.

Basicly just need a single feed line to rails and return from regulater. Pretty simple.

I think you will have to install aftermarket rails. Jegs has a set that is on sale for $60 right now

Thanks guys, automotive and haltech (think that's correct) both recommend : tank-pump-fuel rail-regulator- regulator return to tank out the bottom. Feed one end of rails and exit to regulator at the other end.
The first idea is easier and basically how its run from the factory. I saw the jegs deal, I think ill probably bite the bullet and get new rails. This whole LS thing is quite the education! Trying to join the 21st century without going broke
Thanks

That is a lot of work. For that engine, you do not need that type of system. Just mount a regulator near the pump and plumb the return line to the tank and the output line to the rail. You are set.

My engine was 570hp and that is all I had. No return line from the rails.

Thanks for everyone’s input. I spoke to Bret at Aeromotive today and for my application he recommended running fuel supply to the regulator- out to the factory LS3 intake rail- out the bottom of the regulator return to tank. Also to mount the FPR closest to the rail as possible.
Thanks again everyone, and yes this method is nice and simple, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t making a simple error.
