Default Carb to FI ?

Toying with the idea of going to FI like the Holley Sniper (650hp max) or the Sniper X-flow (800hp max)
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel.../parts/550-511

https://www.holley.com/brands/holley...per_efi_xflow/

Beings I have no EFI parts, I was looking at this route... OR is there better system I might want to look at.

Again... just thinking out loud at this point. Not looking for anything but easier starting really. Kind of jealous when a buddy just bumps the key and it fires right up being 30* out

EDIT: OK, after much searching, videos, dyno numbers, ETC....this is out....everything points to a loss of power.
The loss of power does not outweigh the benefits IMO.

There is a real chance of losing a couple of peak horsepower, and a great likelihood of gaining power and driveability at every other point in the rpm range. There is a 100% chance of making your ride much more easy to deal with regarding cold starts and low rpm driving. If this is not the case, you are tuning wrong. That being said, slap a carb on a high stalled auto that only goes to the track, and if it is well tuned it is probably not worth the effort to go EFI.

Loss of power?? Not likely if it's tuned correctly, You'll have better drivability, Better average fuel economy and likely feel like it picked up torque.
Why would you go from carb to throttle body? Run the Holley Terminator X with either a stock intake or one of the cheaper aftermarket intakes.

Doug,
I originally had the Fitech setup on my old big block 4200# race weight Chevelle.
Fairly mild 439ci that had hundreds of passes on it with a dialed in Quick Fuel carb

Worked well enough, but took 10 months of problems (back & forth to California with their product and their crappy service), and much aggravation, just to EQUAL the performance of the carburetor, which was 11.30's all day, any day, anywhere...best of 11.31@118

As soon as the Sniper finally came out, I immediately swapped to it...
Literally drove the car (letting it "self-tune") from Middle River, to Cecil (42 miles), and car ran same as it did with dialed in carb, and 10 months worth of "learning" Fitech...11.30's...Did EVERYTHING better than the carb, or the POS Fitech...

Wasn't even a concern, but mileage was 11 mixed, and 14-15 highway, and only slightly worse with 4200 stall.

With my 6.0 Trans Am, mild cam, overdrive, and 28" tall tires, I barely get 10-11 highway, and now, obviously, even less with the E-85.

I had/have some very extensive and informative info on the www.chevelles.com site...
https://www.chevelles.com/forums/89-efi/

I rarely post there anymore, but there's tons and tons of unbiased info, tuning help, reviews, etc...you WON'T get unbiased info on Facebook's HOLLEY run Sniper pages. Even their videos show engines on stands...not in an actual VEHICLE, lol. Need real world stuff, not studio, engine stand BS...

I cannot say I lost ANY HP, but even if it somehow did...the 99% of the time I drove the car NON-WOT, ran way better than even a professionally built/tweaked carb...

The Engine Masters advertisement aka dyno videos show a dialed-in carb, versus a newly installed, out of the box, UNTUNED throttle body setup, which is an apples to banana comparison, IMHO.

Even a self learned Sniper, with no owner tuning, will easily match, if not outperform, even a dialed in/tweaked on carb...almost every time.
