Default Aeromotive 5.0 GPM pump

Has anyone ran one on their street cars on e85? Curious on their daily driving ability. I know they will support big power on E85 but was wondering about the durability of the brushless pump if a person wanted to daily drive it.

Thanks!

Brushless anything tends to be more reliable and efficient than brushed.
That's also a LOT of fuel pump.

Yes it works well. I heard they came out with an even larger versions at 7 and 10gpm recently. But if you don't need that much hooch they have a 3.5 as well that should support 12-1300 on E85 just fine.

Looking at the variable speed 5.0 for around town and then turn it up. Talking to a few sponsors, they seem to think the 5.0 is needed for anything over 1000rwhp on E85 while 3.5 is for that 700-1000 area without pushing it.

I've used the normal old style Eliminator pump to 1000whp on E85, its rated for 1400hp. The Brushless 3.5gpm pump is rated for 1800hp, if someone can only make 700-1000 with it they have other issues with their fuel system. The 5gpm is rated for 2600hp, that's quite a jump up if you don't need it.

Interested in this as well. Why couldn't one just run the in-tank version of the 3.5gpm for a single pump set up that supports 1260hp on E85? no messing around with dual pumps and hobbs switches ?

Part number 18394 is what you are referring to I believe. The top of the pump isn't submersible, so you would need to custom modify the fuel hat somehow to get it to work.
