Injector recommendation for H/C m6 car
Ive had this car for 16 years now, and I'm in a spot where I can do a little more work now that I could before. I have been in contact with a few tuners locally and once the last few parts I'm waiting on arrive in the mail, I'll set an appointment to get everything dialed in. Ive had a Dyno Tune session before, but it was MANY years ago, and the car has undergone some changes since then.
Ive been trying to digest as much as I can via search and sticky to understand what options I have for injectors and I think I have an idea, but I'm still confused. Haven't reached out to any vendors directly yet, only because I want to sound a little more educated before I make that call. With my current mods, it seems like the data is showing that I'm close to if not over the limit for what stock injectors can deal with. online calculators show me that I need about 35-37lb injectors, and I'm pretty happy where I am power wise. I don't see anything beyond a possible wet n20 kit in my future. The tuner I am going to use is a pretty well known LS guy who isn't a sponsor here, but I have confidence that he can work with whatever I hand him.
The last time I was on the Dyno (probably 2009) gave me about 385rwhp with PRC stage 2.5 706 heads, Torquer 3 cam, ls6 intake, ebay headers and a really poor design custom catback (knockoff flowmaster) The car was also an A4 with a an unlocked 3500rpm stall.
Since then: M6 swap, Fast 92, speed engineering 1 7/8's headers, and TSP dumped duals and awaiting a Racetronix pump and Hotwire kit. Other than the pump, fueling is stock. Has NOT been tuned with any of the new stuff.
What do I need to look for? ws6 store has some Racetronix injectors that look like where I want to be price wise, but fueling has always been over my head. These list 33#, but I also don't know if that is 3 or 4 bar. Searches give me a ton of results that say the 42# SVO's look good, but they are all OLD threads and it looks like those no longer are available. help me out here....
