Default MSD solid state relay

Has anyone used the msd solid state relay setup with a terminator x? Likes? Dislikes? Any additional harnesses needed from the terminator to relay box?

I'm in the same boat. What route did you wind up taking?

I use 2 of them, first with terminator now with dominator.. use them for transbrake, fuel pump, PWM fan, etc.. They are great, very simple to wire and no issues.. I really like being able to trigger with negative or positive as it allows me to have 2 separate conditions to trigger the relay and one can use the neg and the other the positive trigger. Good example is Transbrake because it has to be applied for reverse so i can trigger it based on backup lights as well as from holley...

Yeah they are nice since you can trigger with ground or 12V and have diag lights for each terminal/leg. The only downside is that they can only go up to 150 Hz and have a duty cycle of 50% to 90% for PWM use so not super useful for something like a fuel pump or fan in a PWM configuration but would work fine for a trans brake/bump.

The NOS solid state relay is just a single in/out and it can only be triggered with ground, BUT it can PWM up to 1000Hz and have a duty cycle from 0 to 100% which could make it more useful depending on what you are doing.

Oops.. that duty cycle issue was unknown to me.. I am using it to control my C7 PWM fan and was not aware I was having any issues...

Well that is a bit different as it's a brushless fan with an integrated controller that accepts a PWM input for fan control and that doesn't even really need a relay and can just use a PWM input directly. I was referencing standard fans/pumps that you are trying to PWM directly.
