Default Evap line into return line?

See alot of people have done this and in the middle of doing it, seems most converted to an fittings but is there other ways to connect the hat to the evap line? Gas line and hose clamps? Or do you need the an fittings to do it

I've done it with fuel hose and clamps. Just make sure you get the injection hose thst is made for higher pressure.

Another thing I just realised looking at it tonight I could just reuse the connectors out of the plastic lines?

I converted the feed and return fuel lines to adapt to AN fitting on my 98. The feed and turn outlet and inlet are metal on the 98 hat. Pretty sure they are plastic on the 99-2002 fuel hat.

If you need to increase the fuel line size of the feed and return lines, then you need to convert the fuel line and connectors to a larger size. So the reason you see a conversion AN connectors is due to increase in fuel line size and not necessarily a need to do a conversion to AN fittings just for the sake of using a different connector.

IMO I don't feel there is a need to convert the evap line to an AN fitting. It's low pressure.

On the 99-2002 you can use quick connect adapters to make the conversion to larger an sizes (male or female) to connect to the quick connect outlet and inlet feed and return fuel ports on the fuel hat (I think both are -6an on the 99-2002 fuel hat) On the 98 metal hat the feed is -6AN and the return is 5/16.

They look like what is pictured in the link below.

Not pictured is a metal quick connect as well. The locking mechanism screws into the quick connect housing making the connection more secure compared to the simple plastic push-lock connectors typically seen on stock applications. Be aware, however, the tolerance between the feed line and inside of the connector housing is extremely tight on the Racetronix connectors I have used. Once you push them together they are extremely difficult to pull apart (by design). Obviously you don't want a fuel line over 60 psi or higher to come apart.
