Jet Pump on Return Line
I have heard that having a restriction on the return side can cause issues controlling the fuel pressure with an external regulator but Radium does not mention this. They do say return line size and routing can affect performance and you may need to experiment a little. They do offer different size orifices to accomodat higher fuel demands but the largest one is still smaller than the -6an return line I will be running.
My questions:
Is anyone running the Radium Engineering jet pump in a similar set up and if so any issues with controlling fuel at WOT?
If you have experience with a different Jet pump to help keep the bucket full with out issues I would be interested in hearing about it?
Maybe a jet pump is not needed and I am over thinking it. Can anyone confirm this?
My thoughts:
I have some 5" aluminum tubing and have thought about building my own larger capacity fuel bucket I would just need to figure out how to integrate the umbrella valves into the base so the fuel level in the bucket is the same as the tank just like the truck bucket has. Someone on here did the same thing with success.
Since the 1/2mile and mile racing I will be doing is for fun I can just make sure the tank is at least half full which should suffice.
I have a GTO specific fuel cell now with a two speed fuel lab pump but I am constantly having issues with filling it and in some instances have accidentally overfilled it how I have no clue. So I was looking to go back to the stock tank for simplicity.
I considered a universal fuel cell but like the idea of the stock tank and filler. If this ends up being problematic I will consider going this route.
