looking for walbro pump for stock ls
Last 2 fuel systems I've done used a cell, but I got a 16 bolt style filler plate from rci iirc and did intank pumps. Pretty easy to do, they make them already set up for intank pump. But this last time it was out of stock so I got they're none intank deal and welded on my own pump hanger holder pole deal. They come in either round or oval shaped with or without the hanger pole, not all that expensive either.

I like to use these, mainly because i use multiple pumps and theres plenty of room to slide the assembly in. Part #7082a
Here is the smaller 1, part # 7080a. It may be a direct swap for your fuel cell, it's a 12 bolt flange.
last time I needed 1 nobody had 1 of these, so I had to get the 7032b and make my own hanger assembly. You also may want to baffle the tank, I put the pump(s) all the way at the very back and haven't had a problem. If you have a really large cell yrmv.
For what you're wanting I would do an intank walbro 255lph or similar. That would give you some head room if you ever wanted to hop it up na.
This is all just based on my experience, I've never had any luck with external pumps and daily driving. I feel like they get too hot and wear out prematurely, may be fine if you only drive once or twice a week. IMO there's a reason manufacturer's went to intank pumps, and it wasn't to make it more difficult to work on lol.
