Out of pump?
Car is running a 340LPH racetronix with a boost referenced regulator feeding stock feed rails with a 6an Fragola return line. So 3/8s to 3/8s. Car also runs meth from 1 or 2 psi. Had issues this summer on a very hot day after an hour drive or so with what I think was cavitation so upgraded to boost ref’d with a larger return line and issue went away. In this case would the solution simply be to crank the FPR up a hair? Looks leaning out up top with the denser air and more boost per rpm, no problem but then I noticed my duty cycle and how it is linear but then takes off around 5800 rpm.
Thoughts on swapping to a single 450? Will this be too much pump for a street car? Kind of trying to avoid dual pump setups cause the drop ins are just easier for me, cost and labor wise.
the thing that has got me is I think this is a rather new/progressive problem and I’ve been tuning with it, I’m at work but once I get home I’m going to try and find older logs. I honestly think the horror stories with this racetronix 340 are true and I’ve been tuning around growing flow loss..it seems the duty cycle trend takes a rather sharp turn up top around 5,800rpm where it didn’t before. The boost reference is raising PSI 1:1...does that mean pump is losing ability to flow at the higher psis?…One thing for sure though is I would swear people have pushed these Deka 60s into like 7xxwhp territory. And I mean I’m hopeful and all but there’s no way I’m making that much power lol. Also note I’m running a 10gph@100PSI hypersonic nozzle. The snow pump is supposed to be 300PSI.. even with 50/50meth it’s it’s got a decent amount of supplemental fueling with it.
EDIT: just a thought. I’m running stock feed and filter. Filter may be tapped out? I feel I’ve seen someone say flow here is 270ish lph. Filter possible culprit?
