Adding a Flex Fuel Sensor to a 2012 Tahoe

I know these trucks have "virtual" flex fuel capability but I had some issues tuning with that system enabled since I have no downstream O2 sensors and the alcohol content value was nowhere near accurate. Would installing a physical E85 sensor and pinning the ECU allow for that system to function properly? If so, does anyone know how to do that? My tuner has disabled the system for now but I'd like it to be operational because there is a pretty big discrepancy in actual ethanol content between pumps in Colorado.

Yes and It's fairly easy to do...there is a thread in the PCM and tuning section with the pinout info. I added a flex sensor to my 2000 GMC Yukon and it works great. Got everything needed from racetronix.
