Default old gas

I have never believed all the bs about gasoline going bad after just a few months of storage. In fact, I never drain mower or motorcycle tanks seasonally, and they fire right up the next season. So when I fired up a motor last week in my GTO for the first time since 2015, I did not bother to drain the half tank of gas that was left when I filled it up in 2009. Apparently they made good gas that year, because it works just fine.

Oh it'll work. It's still gas. But it'll be much happier with fresh gas in it. Luckily in 2015 there wasn't a big push on ethanol in gas. Otherwise you might have issues using gas these days after that many years. Yes there was ethanol in it. but may have had 2%, whereas now they try to get the full 10% as stated on the pump.
