Low Fuel pressure!!!!
* I have a universal fuel tank from Tanks with a internal Walbro 255 fuel pump. Trouble shooting......I'm on my second "new" Walbro fuel pump....still 20 lbs of fuel pressure!
* I'm using a LS Corvette combination fuel pressure regulator/fuel return/ filter mounted next to tank. Trouble shooting.....I'm on my second new LS Corvette combination module....still only 20lbs of fuel pressure!!
* I have a liquid fuel pressure gauge mounted to end of pass side fuel rail. Trouble Shooting......replaced fuel gage with another new gauge....still only 20 lbs fuel pressure!!! Note....I'm running a new low profile sheet metal intake with custom fuel rails. I've tried to start engine and it tries to start and actually started up for a few seconds and fuel pressure went to 35 lbs but was running rough!
Mounted fuel pressure relay right next to battery in trunk above the custom fuel tank. Confirmed with multimeter voltage at 12.0...12.4
Added additinal grounds straight from fuel pump and Ls fuel regulator to battery ground post!!!!
I'm all out of ideas of what is causing the low fuel pressure so would appreciate any suggestions of what is causing this fuel pressure issue! This is my 4th Restomod project with Ls engines using the same components as described in this thread and had no issues with achieving 58 pounds of fuel pressure!
Some scuttlebutt floating on the iffy quality of these filters. Wix seems to be the go to unit.
We no longer use them. An Aeromotive adj is in their place.
12V? Engine running? If so, charging circuit issues.
A fully charged batt should be over 13.
