Does anyone know of a stock fuel pump bucket that GM made, that would fit say a 2001 Silverado/S10 that is completely round, instead of having that flat edge on it?
I am trying to get 2 450's to fit decently in a bucket. Even cutting the bottom of the bucket off, I am struggling to get them to fit without hacking the bucket all up, which then makes it pointless. If the bucket was actually round it would work.
I know the newer Silverado style goes to a bigger bucket, but it also has a bigger opening on the top of the tank. I am actually doing this on a S10 tank.
If anyone has any suggestions or pics, I would appreciate the share.
Just to post up what I have decided to do, I purchased a hunk of stainless. I can't remember the size of of the top of my head. I cut up the factory bucket, made the stainless the same length as the factory bucket, and bolted it in place.
I'll show more as I go, in case anyone else is looking to do something similar.
