Default EVAP as return keeping stock regulator?

Mostly wanting to do this as a troubleshooting step. I want to run a hose from stock fuel rail schrader 4an to one of the adapters pictured below, which will return fuel through evap line like many discussed here making it a return style.

I'd then tie this evap line to the existing return line near the filter, plugging the original return T near the fuel filter, BUT KEEP ONLY STOCK IN-TANK REGULATOR. Anyone try this? All the threads I see use AFPR.

I am occasionally getting bubbles in my fuel but don't know if it's underhood heat related ( Huron Speed turbo kit) and want to do this for a while as a test just for normal driving not WOT or anything. I really don't want to run return style all the time if I don't have to.

it's really not THAT much different than stock, right? Right now I have killer 60ish PSI fuel pressure with a hotwired Racetronix pump and otherwise stock dead head with stock bucket and regulator currently.

That is a hard NO. The only way to keep rail pressure with the regulator in back is to rig it up where your entire return line would be pressurized. The EVAP lines and fittings were never designed for 58psi, and would likely fail in fiery fashion. You would really need to switch to an underhood regulator to make this remotely safe.

Now that I look again at the weak evap quick connects with the 60psi in mind, I realize you are absolutely right and this would be a super dangerous foolish design having the regulator in the tank.

I see now that the other designs using the underhood AFPR don't really have pressure on that EVAP return, it just dumps unrestricted into the tank. Yea that was a stupid idea, thanks for the reply.
