Can an inline pump support 800whp? I got a 2000 firebird with a 408 stroker planning to run pump gas hoping for 500n/a but the motor is built to hold a 300shot or more and I don’t think the factory fuel system will be able to handle that and I really don't want to drop the tank and spend the money right now on a expensive in tank pump, would it be possible to find a in-line pump that would do what I want and it still be worth it for the money and time.
Short answer is no. Of course inline pumps can support the flow, but they are going to be sucking through the same factory bucket that will empty out even if the factory pump and filter are not too much of a restriction. There is no reasonable way of doing this that does not involve removing the factory pump assembly.
