Default All new fuel system- high pressure

Haven’t visited this forum in a while so had to create a new username…anyways.

I have a 99 Silverado with 6.0 swap. I have just ran all new fuel lines, C5 regulator/filter and Holley rails.

I had a 255 fuel pump in and the pressure at the rails (using a gauge on the pass side rail) was 72 at idle. Changed back to the stock fuel pump and it is stuck between 68-70 at idle. Some fuel smell so it’s running rich for sure.

New wix filter/reg
New 6an PTFE line for feed and return
New Holley rails

Filter/reg is on frame rail with a Y at the fuel rails as seen in image.

Need some insight please. Thanks in advance for the help.

1 Try ac delco filter

2 put return line into bucket to check restriction at tank

3 put an adjustable regulator back there and set pressure where you want it

looking for a Delco filter now

Even though it’s all new lines, hardware and pumps I did just that and flowed great

I have a brand new one on my shelf, just decided to go with the C5 setup.

just wanted to see if anyone saw issues with the way I had my system ran or something I may have overlooked.

thank you for the suggestions

I see a lot of swaps done with the Corvette regulator setup , they are very inconsistent especially using anything bigger than a stock pump. I'm not a fan of them.

Get rid of that Corvette regulator/filter combo and put a real filter and regulator in that fuel system and you'll have no issues

Although my FPR gauge reads 60-62 psi on the fuel rail with the C5 filter regulator while using the Bosch 340 and the Walbro 450 pumps I agree with doing away with it and using an adjustable FPR and better fuel filter setup.
