Default injectors for boost

hey, just wanted some input on if the 60# high impedance motron injectors were too much to tune a stock LS1 w/ a ATI Procharger setup w/ 9# boost?
I will soon be putting in a low compression forged LS1 too handle 15# on pump gas (94) in the fall, but wanted to know if those injectors would work for now.
Also, if im not mistaken, these are rated at the standard 3-bar, so they would actually be around 72# on the LS1 4-bar, 58 PSI system.
thanks.

they will work fine.. though the flow is not linear with psi.. the max is at 8xpsi 8x#

Now wait a minute, unless I'm missing something here, if you have 60 LB injectors rated at 3 bar, then you run a constant 58 psi fuel pressure (4 bar) with 15 psi boost (1 Bar), you are back to a 60 LB/HR injector (58 psi - 15 psi = 43 psi, just call it 3 bar). Remember, it is the difference across the injector that determines an injector's static flow. Now if you have the return style fuel system with the fuel pressure regulator set at 58 and boost referenced, I would agree, but I don't think you do, right?

dynocar.. your math is right.. but the relationship between flow and pressure is not linear is what i am saying. if you add 15 then take 15 away then the relationship doesnt matter because the relative pressure never changed in your example

right now , i do have a boost referanced FMU. Was running 5# boost on the stock injectors for years. I did want to get rid of the FMU, get another fuel pump to handle more hp and regulate that at 58 psi, and try to tune for 60# injectors. If this sounds bad, Please give me any pointers that you can, as i am not 100% sure. thanks!

MIGHTYMOUSE, yes I agree that it is not linear, in WS7's example it becomes a 69 LB injector, not 72. I think we are talking about two different things. I was responding to WS7's statement that a 60 LB injector becomes a, lets just say "larger" injector from 4 to 5 Bar. But in his example he stated that he was going to run 15 psi boost. This would return the injector flow rating back to 60 LB because their is only a 3 bar difference across the injector, 4 bar fuel minus 1 bar boost = 3 bar differential pressure. His, or her, power injector sizing for power would have to be calculated from this 60 LB injector, not 69 LB in his example. Sorry for the miscommunication, hope I did better this time.
