Sending unit off calibration!
I'm hoping someone has a good idea of what's inside the tank and has any ideas what happened (e.g. if the float arm bent... or if it's possible for the float to spin on the arm and point downwards maybe...). I'm trying to figure out of this is something that could be repaired accurately or if I'm kinda screwed and need a new sending unit.
Thanks guys.
I haven't had any issues with my Z in this area, but this Spring I debugged my '00 Suburban fuel gauge problem. Mine threw a code Autotap picked up. I was in no position to work on the truck and my 19-yr old drives it regulary, so I bent over and paid the dealer $700 freakin dollars for pulling and installing a new sensor
:screw job on me: pimpmaro, www.cofba.org , come check us out

BTW, my gauge is off too after my in-tank Walbro from last weekend. I'm just gonna pull the unit and bend the float arm to get my level back where it needs to be. As of now, a full tank has my gauge about 1/8" from the very full mark.
