Hello eveyone working on fuel system and have 2 questions for ya

1. I've noticed when i was looking at injectors to buy they where listed as high impedence and low impedence...can someone explain this to me please.

2. This has to do with fuel lines. When looking at fuel lines theres various numbers like #8 and #10 can someone explain the different numbers to me.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong here.......but High Impedance injectors are what come on the car stock and are what most people put back on the car. They are available in many different sizes, but when you get into the very big injectors the High impedance injectors can not keep up with opening and closing fast enough to keep up. You'll see alot of high boosted guys switch to the low impedance injectors. You can only get these in the very high flow rates. The low impedance switch open and close alot faster, but cannot be used on a stock car with out a special controller.

When people are talking about -8 or -10 they are referring to AN (Army/Navy) lines/fittings. The number represents 1/16" ID. So -8 is 1/2" ID and -10 is 5/8" ID.
