what fuel pump to use?

what fuel pump to use?

A buddy wants to know what fuel pump to run if he's running Long Tubes, True Duals, 160 thermostat, Trans Cooler, lid, and S2 Tb, smooth Bellows, and a 100 shot wet on an 02 T/A WS.6

The Racetronix intank pump is a great one to go with. It is easy to install, fair priced, and will support the power he may make in the future.

stock shoud be fine till you get to the 125+ range. i had the walbro 255 in tank from summit for like 110 bucks.

In-tank is always beter, but a Walbro inline will work well too. They only take 1/2-1 hour to install, and run like $139.

if i add an inline pump it acts as a helper pump, with the in-tank pump also being used?

An in-line pump in most cases is a band-aid approach. If the in-tank pump is not healthy then the in-line pump's volume will be heavily impacted. In-line pumps work well in extending the available volume to higher pressures but will not extend volume much beyond whatever the in-tank pump has to offer. An in-line pump can not draw draw through an in-tank pump very well. It is far better to install a HP in-tank pump system. This will simplify the system, reduce power demands, reduce noise and in the event of failure make it much easier to isolate the problem.
