Sending unit is out..... I believe. Gauge is stuck below E. I have called the dealership and of course they say that it is one complete assembly, with fuel pump. Around 600 bucks. Is there anyway around this? Is there no way to just replace the sending unit? I am switching to an intank Walboro within a week and can't justify paying the dealer for a 600 dollar piece and then chucking the pump out because I don't need it. Anybody?
the 1998 pump has a seperate sending unit, but when i contacted the dealer i was told the same thing.
However i found the sending unit is available seperate, and about $75 gm parts direct price
But the 99+ pumps are different, so i would go to the dealer and have them search the parts manual
