Installing fuel pump from the top?

I just go my racetronix kit and want to install it from the top. I have a print out of a install for a Lt-1 car in which he cut a access panel. Is the fuel pump in the same place as a lt1? I don't want to start guessing where to cut.

My car is a 98 camaro

no guessing, just drop the tank and replace it. not like its somthing you have to do every other week ya know..

Drop it and clean it.
If it is dirty your pump might catch something. Being metal 9/10 times it is as it has been around for a while.
Don't stick your pump in a dirty hole!
