Tune with larger injectors?

Default Tune with larger injectors?

Aside from making sure the air/fuel is OK, does the car need to be tuned when going to a larger injector?

If it needs tuning, is it bad to drive the car to the tuner with the new injectors in?

The IFR table will need to be rescaled to fit the new injectors. Depending on how big your new injectors are, you will likely run very rich until the car relearns the LTFT's

from what ive heard yes...the computer will be dumping in the same amount of fuel for the smaller injectors even though yours would flow much more...this will result in being overly rich at all rpms and if too rich for too long can wash your cylinder walls resulting in the need for a rebuild...get the tune done asap preferably before startup.

I would say YES too that question.I assume you are trying some changes and just maybe on a chassis dyno?But regardless you sure do not want to go massive on this deal.Even with a stock set-up,with no cam swaps ect.you would dial this thing in.hopethat helps your questions!

How about if you go from 26 lb stock injectors to 28 lb stock injectors ?

Thanks for everyone help...I figured I would need to do some tuning.

Well, I have a set of 50 lb/hr hi-impedence injectors if anyone wants them for sale!

auto tap your car.. if you are getting generally negative ltrims b1 and b2 AND you have a wide open air fuel in the high 12's (and the ltrims lock to 0 when at wide open) then you do not need an adjustment for the injectors

it is not likely the above will be the case.. they will not be right and you will need to adjust to pull them there... this can involve the offset table if you cant get the driveability you want through just the ifr table.

Yeah pretty much what they said, needs programming. 50 pounders are right out w/o programming. How much for them?

They were $500 new and installed a month ago....$300 shipped I think is fair. I am going to have to spend about $650 for my new ones

as long as you are not maxing out your l trim's then your car will probably drive the same part throttle
