Default A1000 pump question

Is there a check ball in the pump somewhere. After I installed all of my fuel system with my time restraints of school and work, I was cleaing up the garage yesterday and noticed a small stainless BB looking thing. Ive driven the car and once the pump primes the car fires up. FP is set at 58 with no vacuum hooked up and then all is well. Just curious if that ball may have come out of the pump or not. I dont have any issues other then the gauge bleeding down alittle after prime. Something im not exactly worried about as long as it maintains pressure at cruise and definately at WOT>

Any help is appreciated.

TIA!!!

Mike

No ball that would come out. did you take it apart? not sure if one is inside but I am sure that one will not fall out if you just took the pump out of the box and installed it.

Yes but I just installed mine two weeks ago and it was new in box. it had caps on both sides and when taking them off, no check ***** fell out. and with the AN fittings you use, they wouldnt hold a check ball in the pump. their may be one inside the pump but if you didnt take it apart, it wont just fall out.
