Default 20# Fuel Pressure drop

On the dyno this past weekend, watched my FP gauge drop from 58 to 40

Walbro in the tank. 42# Injectors. Running out of fuel @ 6K.

Fuel pump problem? Or regulator?

I have a single bosch 255 L that has handled over 600 rwhp on the unit. Sounds like an issue with the pump. Are you running it off the stock wiring directly or through a relay? You can always run a dual intank, but it shouldn't be needed at your power level. My guess would be the pump.

Still on the stock wiring. I have a Racetronix ready to go in. Guess I will try that first. Thanks.

Clean the fuel tank out first and replace the fuel filter!

That in tank regulator is junk. Bypass it and put in the Racetronix wiring. I finally just redid my whole fuel system. No more problems now.

What is everyone using for a regulator? I have been waiting for the Racetronix version.

I ran a totally seperate in-line system from SpeedInc. Billet adjustable regulator, new injector rails, external pump, braided lines, etc. New tank and everything. You can use your stock tank but you have to drill it for the feed and return lines. Some people run their braided return line back and clamp it to the factory return pipe up on top of the tank. You will have to remove the in-tank regulator however. Call Tom at Speed Inc....

Well i pulled my fuel pump today to install my new racetronix fuel system. It turns out that my 20psi drop was from the rubber hose they give you to connect the fuel pump to the sender had a split in it about 2" long, But i replaced the the whole set up with the racetronix its a much better system than the walbro 255 universal pump I just wish i would have spent the extra money the first time

I am going to go with a racetronix pump, and a 97 vette rail, using 1998 V6 fuellines for my budget, oem quality system.

Glad it worked out. Hopefully something like that happened to me.
