Threw a 99+ kit into my car with no problems or issues with connectors or otherwise. My only quibble was that the brass battery terminal's threaded portion wasn't long enough to extend through the cable and start threading into the battery. Turning down the large diameter to give another 3 mm length solved that problem.

Mine was fine for my 2000 also - but I keep hearing about this detailed 'manual' with pictures even?

Funny thing - I got absolutley NO documentation with my pump I ended up having to search the wealth of info here to figure out how to install.

Maybe they didn't put manuals in with the first batch of pumps for the plastic tank cars

The manual for mine(is plastic) came wrapped around the pump itself. It actualy was a very good kit except for being the wrong weatherpak plug for my car. The instructions were good and even had color pictures for illustrations. I would have been happy if not for the wrong plug end.

I had ZERO instructions or documentation with my kit for my '94 Z28. I called Thunder (who I bought it from) and they said that's on purpose as Racetronix wants you to take it to a "professional shop".

Luckily GMHTP had done a write up on this exact install (same exact car as mine (!) , Blue '94 Z28 A4) and I read the article again before spinning the wrenches. New pump and wiring harness work great.

The FLT1-FPA has been shipping with a manual for quite some time now. Way before the GMHTP article. Racetronix sent extra manuals to dealers to be bundled with pumps that may not have had them in the pump boxes. All dealers are aware that the FLT1 manuals are available from Racetronix in PDF format simply by e-mailing support@racetronix.com with your purchase information. The CamaroZ28.com forum is a good resource for FLT1 pump information.

The F98 and F99-FPA kits have had manuals with them since day one but some dealers forget to include them. The F99-FPA manuals are now placed in the box to prevent this problem. Again, all dealers are aware that the F98 and F99 manuals are available from Racetronix in PDF format simply by e-mailing support@racetronix.com with your purchase information.

Thanks. I should have contacted you directly. As usual, I was in a rush and took the first answer and just drove on from there. All's well that ends well, and I must say it's a quality kit and seems to be working very well for me. My alternator, however, has a different harness setup (small, 7mm? bolt in the boot on the back) and I had to run the power wire to the hot lead in the red plastic "cup" above the battery area/near the coolant filler/overflow neck. My battery is relocated to the back, so I could not use some of the parts supplied. But again, it is a good kit and with the aid of the GMHTP article, the install went very smooth.
