Yes it does feel weird. The only advantage is when you get ribbed by a Ford zealot about your choice of car " You should have bought a Ford etc ".........you can always reply that you actually have some Ford parts fitted.
This usually shuts them up.

But secretly you are just hoping that the Ford parts dont set your car or house on fire.

I have just accepted the fact that once in a blue moon Ford makes a better product that Gm; such as rear ends. I've heard of people breaking 12 bolts and we all know that the 10 bolt is weak. I'm not real big into professional racing but I have never heard of anyone breaking a 9 inch. Not too mention I dont think ford has designed something like the opti spark

If you did not going to bring it up I was. There are a lot of fast stangs and other cars at the strip with small block Chevys under the hood. I would not feel guilty at all about injectors. They are swapable, no bid deal there. The 9 inch is a great rearend, but I bet it is in more chevys than fords at race tracks.

Well, now you are going to hear. I've seen multiple FURD 9" Rear Axle/Housings break. If you haven't then you haven't attended enough races. One in particular I remember was a decently powered '68 AMX that would ride his tires in the air way past the 60' mark with them hanging at least 3 foot in the air. He did this enough where an unpredicted final launch of the day broke and spit his driveshaft out with the 3rd member yanked/seperated from the housing. The driveshaft lay there on the track still connected to the 3rd member...unreal but everything has a breaking point.

Parts for my car need to meet a few quality standards like A) Make my car go faster B) Make my car go again C) Not break after they are installed. Thats about it.

Lets face it guys it does seem like gm got beat with the retard stick during the devlopment phase of some vehicles. I mean WTF were they thinking sometimes. I really do believe that some day GM will find a way to put all external engine parts inside the motor requiring a complete rebuild to change the serpentine belt.

Its ignorant not to put the "best of the best" parts on your car only because of where it came from...if its better then so be it. It takes a bigger man to admit that other products can be better than another. Both Chevy and Ford have pros and cons...It just happens that Chevys have more pros:-) Id get the Ford injectors if they are better IMO.
