Walbroo external ! ? Help !

Does anyone know what would make an inline walbroo pump SQUEAL real bad while there is little fuel demand. IT also gets so hot , the plastic on the terminals start melting ! ?

I know there has to be some more people out there using these pumps, doesnt anyone get a very harsh whinning noise that is really LOUD?
