LS-1 fuel pump Just installed a 5.3 2001 stock engine in my 68 p.u. And was going to redue the fuel line and pump. Anyone know how much line pressure is required for a 5.3 ? I was thinking about using a inline fuel pump,instead of a tank unit. I think summit has one thats rated like between 110-125 psi. So I was thinking of something like that with a hi-pressure in line filter and with high pressure fuel and return lines.
had a 5.3 (2000) and now a 6.0 (2002), I have a blower and need 55psi to 60psi in normal mode to be happy and at least 58psi or higher under load (WOT). Same would go for stock setup...55 to 58 I believe is standard on these 5.3's.
