Guess my problem

Guess my problem here's my situation.
I have a racetronix PNP system and a new aeromotive regulator. Lately when I first turn on the key and the pump primes, the pressure jumps up to 55 or so and after it primes the pressure rapidly drops to about 20 or so. Once its running, the pressure is fine.
Last night on my way to class the fuel pressure guage began jumping around between 54-56 very quickly. I stop to get gas after class and I turn on the key and the pressure jumps up to 55 but after it primes, the pressure drops to 0 just as quickly as it went to 55. And once its running the guage is bouncing around again.
