empty a fuel tank

Default empty a fuel tank

anyone know how to get the fuel pump to empty the tank by using the fuel rail?

Make sure ignition switch is off, remove the cap on the end of the drivers side fuel rail, and remove the schrader valve inside it. Connect a piece of fuel hose, and place the other end in a fuel can,,, then turn on the key and watch it squirt. If you want to make a good hose to connect to it, a #4 AN fitting is the correct size, something like this would work fine:

It doesn't take very long to burn up the pump when running empty, so be careful on length of time you run the pump if no gas is coming out of the line.
