fuel system?? i am building a 408 and am having a hard time finding the info i want and teh search isnt working for me. i have found that most people are using the 42# injectors on this type set up and i was wondering if someone could tell me if that is correct. im shooting for around 500rwhp. would also like to know if the fuel rails need to be upgraded as well. i know that the fuel pump needs to be changed and i figured while i am going through it i might as well upgrade fuel lines as well. (keep in mind all of this is being done to a 01 v6 every moving part in the car is being switched and upgraded) so for those with a similar set up please chime in.
A Holley/Walbro pn# 12-914 "forced induction" fuel pump is what I would recommend for installing into the fuel tank. Fuel rails don't need to be upgraded, stock LS1 lines will work just fine for a N/A set-up. Since you have to swap fuel lines, you might as well install Earls or Russell or Aeroquip braided line in a -8 size. Bob
