Default Returnless style regulator?

Recently did bigger rails and an in-line pump..... both FP guages(under hood on rail and cowl guage)now show a steady ~63-65 psi. Falls to a steady 58(ish)at WOT. Before the rails/pump install I saw a steady 60psi @ idle.

Having what feels like an overfueling issue(read old school/ loading up)as it wants to stutter and hunt for idle when coming from load to idle. Smells pig rich.
Wondering if a returnless two port regulator is needed or is this an edit issue.

Why the increase in FP?

Thoughts?

What's controlling the inline pump, is it just running continously? I'm not that familer with the fuel system on these cars but IIRC fuel bypasses near the tank (to maintain ~60psi), so if you put a pump after where fuel bypasses then you'd loose control of fuel pressure.

You are adding a whole lot more pressure the stock reg can not keep up with with the addition of the second pump. It can possibly be tuned out or you need a better regulator and a return line.

Screamn03- .....In-line is wired to run w/the stock pump. Don't remember whether before or after bypass. Need to go check..... makes sense.

Nate- ....so a better regulator meaning in tank, or could I just do a high psi adjustable regulator off the main feed line and into the rail? ....or would I have to run a return line from that same regulator back to the tank?

Not real fuel system savy.... yet

No you will need an external reg. and a return line back to the tank.
