Problems after Walbro 255 install After the install of a Walbro 255lph in-tank fuel pump, in a 02 LS1 f-bod there's been problems...
Whats happens is the car starts funny, like it doesnt want to start right away and then will idle for awhile but then eventually dies. If you press the throttle while its running it will hesitate and if you hold the pedal it will die. It doesnt start right back up afterward either, you gotta crank it and pat the pedal for a little bit (which is unusual).
When the ignition is turned to the "on" position before the car is fired the fuel pump primes the system and we also checked the fuel pressure in the rails, it was good.
When the MAF is unplugged it idles fine, but when driving if you go past about 25% throttle it falls on it face. With the MAF, it wont stay idling or even drive at all.
Have you ever had any experiences like this? if so what was the problem?
