Question about line sizing and HP rating
The car has an A&A built forged shortblock and a Pro Turbo Systems turbo kit, with a 76mm GTS turbo.
The car will hit the dyno hopefully late this week for tuning. We are taking bets as to where this system will run out of fuel. Any guesses?
I ordered a Nasty Nate alum. tank so that I can run an external pump and a second pump in parallel to be run from an output on my eBoost controller when the car gets into boost. My question is.... Will that #6 feed line support 800-850RWHP? I don't know that the setup can make that much, but I'd like to work up to maxxing the turbo out on race fuel to see what it is capable of...
Is this the point that a #8 line should be considered? Thanks alot.
Larger fuel lines are more critical on low pressure (carbureted) fuel systems.
My Walbro with a KB BAP maxed at 620rwhp through a T400 trans. LPE has taken them to 750rwhp in a manual car. Dual Bosch or Weldons are the way to go for boost referenced regulators. Gets the most out of the Mototron 60's and will sustain flow at 78psi....which is what you need down the road. Mototrons are great injectors...run a dual pump set for high pressure and they will go over 850rwhp.
