Question Aeromotive or Weldon Regulator - Which to Use?

Finishing up the components for my new fuel system and have a question:

I've seen that a lot of members are using the Aeromotive A1000 #13109 Bypass Reg. in their systems.

Then I come upon a thread where a sponsor states to 'stay away from the Aeromotive Reg'????? with no further explanation of course.

What would be the reasons for that? I realize the Weldon is a great reg. but is it necessary for my setup?

Most time running N/A with #'s in my sig. I do have nitrous - but never above 150 shot and new system will be dual stage for a more gentle apply Haven't decided on wet or dry for the new system.

My new engine combo should get me close to the 500 rwhp mark N/A.

Proposed Setup:

F.A.S.T. Rails
HSW Teflon Custom fuel lines
Racetronix PnP pump
KB BaP
Stock Filter
Fuel feed from stock line- Y-d to feed front of both rails
One line from rear of each rail to each side of reg.
Return line from reg. to Y-block by filter

I don't mind going the xtra $$ for the Weldon if it is warranted - otherwise I could save a few $$ for something else & go with the Aeromotive.

Never plan on FI & delete the nitrous from the equation for now -

So is the Aeromotive going to work fine in my application and should I go with the #13101 or #13109 or #13301?

If I need Weldon should I go with the #2040 or the new 2047?

TIA,
-Jay-

we use Fuelab regulators $179.99 very high quality for the price. the Weldon is over kill for your setup. Aeromotive stuff is for mass market have had several problems keeping fuel pressures steady with the Aeromotive. Do not know if it a problem with how they build them, there diaphram or there spring. But from our experiance we no longer use them.

The 13109 Aeromotive is an excellent choice and virtually trouble free. There is no quality issue. The regulator can also be easily rebuilt with a new diaphragm assembly if you decide someday to replace it. All you have to do is give them a call for the replacement. The springs are heat treated and give no trouble at all. The diaphragm material is also compatible with E85.

The 13110 is the same unit with -10 inlets and -6 return to the tank.

The Weldon is a very good piece just a little expensive I use them in all our big setups.
