Fuel injector cleaner???
Fuel injector cleaner??? I bought my 02 T/A with 6,400 miles on it...The couple that owned it had it since new and never drove it in the winter. I was wondering if i used fuel injector cleaner would it help performance any? And also when should i use it? On an empty tank, then fill up...or on a full tank?
Chevron FUel Injector plus Intake valve cleaner or Redline fuel system cleaner have always worked best for me.
Put the additive in the tank and then fill up. This helps mix the additive into the gasoline.
I personally use the Chevron product for the initial clean or a full bottle of Redline fuel system cleaner and then add an ounce or so of Redline at every fill up.
Redline Fuel System cleaner can be used as often as you like as it is detergent based and will not harm most fuel systems. The Chevron product has high concentrations of solvents and can damage fuel systems if used too often or in too high of a concentration.
