Quick wiring question about Walbro in-tank install

I'm installing a Walbro in-tank pump right now, and the pump has the typical red and black wire combination. The factory wiring is black and gray. I want to make sure I wire these correctly before I seal the tank up. Does it go black-black, red-gray? Also, what is the best way to join and seal these wires? Is a crimp connect sufficient, or should I solder and shrink wrap?

Yes black-black and red-grey. Solder is always better but crimp works.
