Default Pure Ethanol

I've seen jugs of 200Proof Ethanol in labs, and was wondering if this stuff is equally powerful as gasoline?

E100 is somewhere around the vacinity of 118~130 octane (I forget exactly). You have to run bigger fuel pumps, injectors, stainless rails and lines. The bigger pumps and injectors do to A/F needs to be more around 9:1, and the stainless rails/lines because of the corosive nature of ethonal. There is pleanty of topics in the fueling section of the site. I suggest you search over there for the related links. Viable alternative solution, yes, but the debate is still over the creation of ethonal and if you actually get more or as much energy out of it as you put into it.

The octane rating is higher but there is less energy in it than gasoline so you would get worse mileage if your car ran on it..... not to mention I think to get it that pure is pretty expensive.
