01 SS Trouble starting

i just had that problem, i thought it might of been the fuel pump too because i was getting error codes of too lean, but i took out my spark plug to check if i was getting spark before i went taking the car apart ... found out i had no spark , but i was getting fuel the plug was wet.. so i asked a dealer they said no spark would probly be the crank sensor , i replaced that and a 5$ ignition relay and it started first try. havent had any problems starting since or error codes. so id check if you got spark before you try and change the fuel pump.

oh and the location of the crank sensor is right above the starter if you find you dont have any spark... you have to take the starter off. its easy, 2 bolts and then one holding the crank sensor in.. its an easy fix. too bad for me some idiot told me the crank sensor was behind the water pump, he also said the reason my sensor failed might of been the water pump leaking... doubt it since its nowhere near the sensor, but anyway i got a new electric water pump that i wanted to get anyways. and also if you have no spark try taking one of the relays under the fuse box the one that is ignition replace with another the one right nexto it should be the same type of relay. before you go taking anything apart its easier to test.. even though taking stuff off is a great reason to upgrade or take off some useless emisions crap.
