Can you hot wire the inline pump to the harness?
It's not a good idea. You'll being drawing power for both pumps from the same line. You won't see a full 12 volts to either one. I don't think you even see 12 volts to the stock in-tank to begin with. This is bad because fuel pump flow rates are based upon the voltage the pumps are run with. Less voltage means less flow. Blown fuses are also a possibility.
The best thing to do is run a 10-12 guage line from a relay (IIRC a 30amp automotive relay) thats connected to the remote + terminal by your under hood fuse boxes. Then tap the "switch wire" for the relay into the stock fuel line "turn-on" wire in the fuse box right next to the terminal. This way the in-line will come on with the stocker and you will get a solid 12 volts. This is sometimes referred to as a "hot wire kit". Sponsors can hook you up with one or you can just go to the auto store and find what you need.
