I pulled the factory steel tank out of my 98 Z28 today with little problem. I am stuck now as to reinstalling the Nasty N8 tank. I know my tank is okay to use the stock sending unit. No biggies there. Do I need to remove the factory pump though? I am using a external A-1000 setup. Also what about the filler neck for the Nasty tank. What am I supposed to use? Any idea's or help is greatly appreciated.
Here are some pics for reference:

Okya it looks like I will be running a 99+ filler neck with rubber coupling to the Nast N8 tank. Gonna cost me about $40 total to do it.
Now what about tkeeping the factory sending unit my tank is setup for and ditching the factory pump?

Have not decided yet. My tank doesnt have bungs for it to mount on the tank. I will probably find a place to mount it down from the tank. I have mounted several on the frame rails when I was building mustangs. I have some options. I just have to figure out which one to go with.

I am gonna use a factory 99 model filler neck and use rubber hose to connect the two together. I managed to pull all my factory fuel lines out between thunder storms today. I just have to get the tank mounted and start installing the aeroquip lines and such.

A buddy of mine got it and had the issue. I don't see how anyone else's experience can possibly be different... I mean, look at that lil filler neck. The tank looks very nice though.

Some have needed an extra couple inches we have added a longer spout on the new ones. But all you need is a chunk of 1" hose to reach your stock filler. Local parts store will have some.
