!!!!Please Help!!!! Hey guys I went out to start my 2000 camaro the other day after it had been sitting for a month or so and it busted right off.......then immediatly died. I then tried to restart it and it just kept turning over and over. I believe the fuel pump went out but not quite sure. I was thinking I could test the pump by taking the plug out of the fuel rail and trying to start the car and see if fuel comes out. Is this a good method to check the fuel pump. Has anybody else had promblems with there stock fuel pumps. And also what would be a good aftermarket replacement pump and how much are they. FYI I am running a TNT F2 Kit with a 150 shot.
I would recommend testing the pump by first turning on the key and listen for it to prime. If it doesnt prime then its prolly done. Given no bad fuses or relays. I dont know if LS1 cars have the prime connector near the pcm to tap into that the LT1s do. That would be another option
As far as a direct replacemt you can go with a racetronix kit or you could just get a 255lph pump and slap it in. Im using a racetornix kit and a second 255lph pump for racing
