remove and clean fuel inj. my 110,000 mile 98 z28 is running a little rough. i had no complaints until about 6 months ago. it feels underpowered; and when i rev it up and let off you can feel the engine shutter a bit as the rpms drop. at first it was somewhat intermittent. i could add fuel injector cleaner and it would definatly run better but not full capacity (as it was 6 months ago). the car has been in the family since day one and within a few thousand miles performance plug wires were put on. the same wires have been on the car all the way until about 3 months ago. i changed the spark plugs which again yielded a mild boost but again it still had a slight shutter which has gotten worse since then. about a week later i decided that unused stock wires might be better than 100,000 mile performance wires(waiting for new performance wires to come in the mail). i was moderatly right, another gain but still not feeling 100%.
i have come to the conclusion the problem is either failing coil pack(s) and/or dirty fuel injectors(still looking for other opinions too though). im wondering how common is it to remove the injectors and have a shop clean them. i havent called around yet because i wanted some opinions off here. the way the car operates right now is not acceptable in my opinion. it feels like i might be putting stress on the motor due to underperforming parts not to mention i lost a bit of gas mileage (just under 16mpg for the last few years to just over 13 mpg over the last few months).
wrong forum for this question but all the facts are above so i will add it on a side note anyway: how can i test the coil packs to ensure their operation. theyre too expensive to replace all 8 on a whim. ive googled it and the only instructions ive found are for another type of coil, not ls1 coils.

no one has any comments about cleaning fuel injectors?

that looks like a pretty good way to go... cleaned, new parts, and flowed for about $160. just looking for a little feedback. im not overly confident in my own opinions
