Default Noob fuel cell and pump question

I'm starting on the fuel system for my 76 Vega with a W2W stroker L92 at 414 CDI.

My current plan is a fuel cell in the trunk. I do not want to cut my trunk up.

Do fuel cells need to supply out the bottom? (cutting trunk)? or are there top feed ones?
I have an A1000 external pump already, can it pull from a top feed if there is such a thing or does it have to be pulling from a botton feed?

I will be setting up from scratch as the only part I have is the A1000 pump which I would get rid of if it won't do what I need.

Also do fuel cells have intank pumps?

Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreaciated. HP at crank might be from 500-600 N/A and I will next year be spraying 150-200 on it wet probaly.

What would you setup if you were me?

It can pull from the top but in cases of slosh it is always better to pull from the bottom. Why not just raise the fuel cell off the floor a couple of inches? Pull the fuel out the sump.

Well there is an idea. I didnt think of that as I have never worked with a cell before. Does the external pump need to be lower then its feed or anything like that?

No need to be lower than the feed. Just use as big of feed line to the pump as possible we use -12. Provides it with as much fuel as possible as to not starve the pump.

Thx for the info.

I was looking over the car tonight and I really wish I didn't have to use a cell. The stock fuel take would be so easy to use but looking at the size of the feed line that was going to a Holley blue pump in the truck, I don't think it is larger enough. What is the minimum for the feed for an A1000 external pump? Maybe I should pull the tank and weld in one of those bottom tank sump things. Hmmm..
