could this be a bad fuel pump please help
could this be a bad fuel pump please help when you turn the key on you should hear the fuel pump correct? ok my car is at the garage getting a new slave cylinder installed and now it wont start and the guy hasnt even started working on it, so i went there and added fuel and it turns over but wont start, i cant hear the fuel pump come on so could that be the problem? thanks for any help

I guess the fuel pump has a fuse, check that, either in the end of the dash or under the hood.
Had the guy started any work at all? could he have knocked something?
What about an aftermarket immobiliser? perhaps it some how got enabled?
Havn't known pumps to just go like that.

Check your fuse, if still nothing then yes it is most likely the pump. If you decide to swap the pump when you get to, use a volt meter on the positive and negative and turn the key forward to make sure absolutley its the pump and not cold wiring.
Check fuses in engine bay and inside car....but more importantly if fuses are ok....check fuel pump relay under driver's side kick panel....at least that's where it is in my 97' SS.
Thought my pump went out but was the relay instead....new relay about $35.
