Default Dead fuel pump: Replace with facotyr or a basic Holley?

My friends' '99 TA has a dead pump (at least that is what we've narrowed it down to)

Anyways, wondering if he should go with a factory replacement pump or if he can pick up a something like a Holley 155. He has a TR-224-112 and long tubes. He plans to cut a hole to install and so if he decides to step up his performance, swapping to something bigger shouldnt be a problem.

Basically wondering if A. The pump will support the basic mods B. Is the pump a direct replacement, or does is need different wiring, etc.

Thanks

Oh and I tried to search but got: 503 Service Unavailable

you could consider the racetronix kit, or if the car is not that modded up, just another stock one. I would really make sure it's the fuel pump though. Do you hear it build up pressure right when you turn the key to on (you will hear a little humming)?

btw, tell your friend not to run his tank low all the time if he does. this will kill a pump for sure.

You can special order our medium performance pump assembly which is a slight upgrade from factory if that is all you need. This will save you some money over the HP version or the factory pump. It comes will all the same parts as our HP version just with less flow. Part number is F99-FPA-B. You can order this through Thunder Racing or by contacting sales@racetronix.com

Once you see how much the dealer or any parts store wants for a stock pump, you'll know which way you want to go, it's pretty outrageous!
