No you cannot(well not just with a tuning program alone)
If you just tune with LS1-Edit, HPTuners, EFILive... You are flaching a set tune for the parameters you set, like AFR, Spark, Fueling... all set for the fuel you are currently using. Any more than 15% Gasoline per 85% Ethonol will change the values needed to have a good tune.
I have heard/read that there is a module that can be purchased that can read the Gasoline to Ethonol ratio, and send that ratio to your pcm, and with the parameters set correctly you could run anything from E100(pure ethonol) to straight Gasoline and anywhere in between. I think I've heard of one from bosch, but I'm sure there are more out there.
I actually would like to find one of these modules, if any of you know where I can find one please let me(all of us) know. I would like to start utilizing E85 but there is only one station within 15 miles of my house and not another in sight, so the module would be the way to go for me.
Hope my info helped Juje

I'm curious if the Ford SVO 30lb Red Tops alone on a stock fuel pump would be strong enough to push enough fuel for a cammed/bolt on 346 LS1?
I'd love it if I could convert without a new fuel pump and injectors.
I've got all the software to eventually make it work without hopefully blowing it up.
Anyone care to comment?
Thanks for any info.
Great thread BTW!
I'm seriously considering a conversion this summer.
Being in Minnesota we have plenty of E85 pumps to make it worthwhile.
We're currently $.60 cheaper than gasoline so I'm really wanting to do this.

It would really depend on the cam, and how much hp you make. The good thing about the E-85 is even if it runs lean at WOT it still wont knock or detonate. When my fuel system wasn't up to par I was running at an AFR of 14:1 at 6000 rmp WOT, and logged no KR. But you would need at least a new fuel pump, the stock one is pretty small and 42# injectors would be better.

Upgrade the in-tank and go no smaller than 42's. If you have additional modification plans, go even larger on the injectors to give yourself some headroom for the increased fuel demands the later combination will present.

Thanks guys.
Don't know if the pricetag is going to justify the swap needing both a pump and injectors.
Bummer, I really want to do this too.
Although it can't hurt to upgrade those parts anyways.
Knew I shoulda got bigger when I bought the 30lb'ers.

I never checked to see if there was water in the tank, but the car sat for two months without driving it with 1/2 of a tank and ran fine when I took it out. Although I do live in a dry enviroment we usually see 10-15 % humidity.

ok that kindof answers one question i had. the other big question i have is what do you do in winters months with they drop the content to 70/30 ish? retune or what? most people dont drive in the winter months anyway, including myself, but on a 'warm' day i do like to start my car and take it for a quick drive.

Run it you wont be sorry. I have local guy here who does dyno/tune days, his set up is similar to mine but runs 15#'s of boost and only makes 20 rwhp more than myself at 10#'s. He even commented that if he ran the kind of timing I am he would blow the heads off his car. I got my timing table from EPP with my D1SC and after my first dyno added some tiiming and at 4400 rpm I picked up 200 rwtq and 170 rwhp. My peak numbers at 6000 rpm went up 80. You can see the results here for yourself this is the first dyno http://www.fquick.com/garages/viewga...wimg&id=117731 and here is the new one. http://www.fquick.com/garages/viewga...wimg&id=117732 Part of the increase was due to me picking up 1.5# of boost at 6k rpm. All you have to do to run it is change the STOICH AFR value, in your prefered tuning software, from 14.63:1 to 9.8:1. Assuming you have bigger fuel njectors and fuel pump. If you don't have a big enough fuel system it will run lean. But running lean with E-85 is not as bad as with gas.
